Independence House, Inc is a private, non-profit organization established in 1979, is the only comprehensive resource on Cape Cod providing free services for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Our offices are located in Hyannis, Falmouth, and Provincetown. The agency strives to serve the Capeís diverse population, which includes supports for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities. We help individuals reestablish lives free of fear and violence. Our philosophy of self-help and self-determination helps individuals initiate change, make informed decisions and attain short and long-term goals, and so develop strengths and self-confidence. We are also in need of interested volunteers for the Provincetown area.
